Sunday Morning

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

What a large crowd for Mothers Day at Cornerstone Worship Center. Good to see all the visitors that were in attendance to honor their mothers. The Holy Spirit filled the House as Sis. Angie led the praise and the choir sang, “How great is our God, and all will see how great, how great is our God”. Sis. Sheila & Friends performed a skit dedicated to moms. Sis. Betty Flynn narrated as Bro. Arron & Sis. Carrie Poole did a wonderful job of performing.

Pastor Reynolds brought forth the Word of God in a message titled “Pathway of Motherhood”. Proverbs 23:25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice. We would do well in following God’s order; wives make the best mothers. Often in our society, the promotion of mothers before becoming a wife is the order. The World encourages women to skip being a mother and trade it in for a career, but there is no corporate position better than being a mother.

I appreciate my wife Paula and the good mother she is to our two kids. I don’t have that special love and caring that only a mother can have and what a vital role it is in a family. I had been so very blessed with a great mother, always patient, caring, encouraging me to be my best and her many prayers. The profound impact of a loving mother lives on in my family today. What a difference her prayers have made in our lives.

I am also blessed with a gentle and kind mother-n-law. She often watched our kids when they were very young. She took care of Paula for nearly 20 years and now Doris is 80 years old and we’re helping to look after her welfare now.

Be well, do good work and God Bless,
Bro. Ed Underwood
