Ponderings: Trust

Wednesday’s evening family ministries, the 128th day of this year offered an opportunity to once again to build your faith and to be in the presence of all mighty God. Wednesdays at Cornerstone Worship Center offers a service for the adults in the main sanctuary, young adult bible study, Contact youth service for teenagers and young Explorers small groups, thanks to all the volunteers that make this possible.

This Saturday is “Daughters Brunch” at CWC starting at 10:00am.

Ponderings on Trust;

The very first chapter and verse of God’s Word simply states in a factual manner, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." This first scripture is such a simple but profound statement for all the creations in the heavens and on the Earth. Consider that God created the Moon and Sun and also put them into constant orbits around the Earth and all the creations in the heavens. Then there is no problem or situation in our lives to great for God to resolve, if it is his will.

Webster’s dictionary defines trust as "Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something."

There are many things to put your trust in as we journey through this life. For example; cars, there is a degree of trust relying on your car to get from point A to point B, that it will take you safely when you need it to do so. However as we all know, and sometimes all too often something goes awry and our trust is greatly diminished and doubt sets in our minds. 2Sa 22:31 "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him." It seems most things in this life, whether it is a job, a furnace in the winter, and at times even another human being, having that assured reliance in them can be broken and we’re filled with disappointment.

When you put your trust in the Lord, you have found that assured reliance in character, ability and strength without any disappointment.

Psalms 18:2
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Psalms 9:10
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Be well, do good work and God bless,
